Position Responsibilities:
Provide sophisticated remote technical support to customer strategy and technology approaches by responding to complex technical inquiries related to large and production critical issues to propose advanced solutions to and/or resolve root causes of cloud network and/or system issues. Lead collaborations between service development and support engineering teams to drive innovative solutions to challenging customer issues. Identify emerging trends and issues and present data trends to drive internal and customer-facing platform improvements. Reviewing and deliver reports on metrics impacting customers to help drive improvements and measure support success and service performance to dramatically increase the effectiveness of the group. Design and oversee the execution of large and complex migration plans for existing on-premise client environments onto AWS Cloud, leading efforts to drive existing cloud architecture growth through new AWS service subscriptions and overseeing setup maintenance upon migration by providing and overseeing large-scale, complex technical assistance. Lead and review complex assessments of customer code written in JSON, Python and JAVA, and oversee code development required to deploy customer applications on AWS Cloud. Lead assessments of large- scale and complex customer infrastructure to optimize system cost and performance. Training and directing junior team members in navigating and configuring Linux/Windows systems and leading advanced troubleshooting of complex technical issues. Apply advanced knowledge of information science and technology to lead and oversee difficult network troubleshooting of Amazon services using tools and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routing, switching, LAN/WAN, traceroute commands, iPerf, dig commands, and/or cURL.
Position Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field and one year in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: 1) Providing Linux or Windows operating system support; 2) Deploying and troubleshooting LAN, VPN, Firewalls, DNS and TCP/IP, IPsec and IDS/IPS systems; 3) Using DevOps best practices, including CI/CD tools, Version Control Tools, Containerization orchestration and Configuration Management tools; 4) Evaluating and optimizing IT infrastructure and software application deployments on operating systems, including Linux distributions or Microsoft Windows Server, using containerization orchestration, configuration management, and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) technologies; and 5) S/W programming including deploying and troubleshooting REST API and HTTP workflows.
