Senior Full Stack Developer (.NET + Power BI)
A healthcare and medical billing organization is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to stabilize, modernize, and improve critical internal systems.
The current environment has recurring reporting failures and database issues, and the organization needs a reliable, well-engineered platform to support day-to-day operations.
This is a full-time, long-term remote opportunity. We are open to worldwide applicants, with a preference for talent based in Eastern Europe or Latin America.
Compensation: $26–$28/hour USD, depending on experience.
Schedule: Expected schedule is approximately 7:00 AM–3:00 PM New York time. Candidates must have 4–6 hours of working overlap with New York time and be available by 9:00 AM US time.
You will fix current systems, build new tools for medical billers, create better KPI reports in Power BI, and add AI where it truly helps.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and improve an existing Power BI reporting environment that frequently crashes or fails.
- Refactor, stabilize, or replace a custom daily operations system used by medical billing teams.
- Build new internal tools to improve productivity and accuracy for medical billers.
- Improve KPI reporting and operational dashboards in Power BI.
- Resolve Microsoft SQL Server database locking, performance, and reliability issues.
- Clean up data, remove duplicate records, and improve data integrity.
- Support database migration and modernization efforts.
- Improve database security, encryption, and access control.
- Maintain and improve API integrations and supporting infrastructure.
- Identify practical opportunities to use AI where it genuinely improves workflows or decision-making.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and an incoming software engineer to diagnose problems, prioritize fixes, and deliver dependable improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Senior-level experience owning and improving complex software systems.
- Strong experience with .NET and Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL.
- Experience diagnosing production issues and improving system reliability.
- Strong database performance, locking, cleanup, migration, and data integrity experience.
- Experience with Power BI reporting and dashboard development.
- Experience with modern front-end technologies such as Angular, Vue.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience with API integrations and backend services.
- Familiarity with Git / Bitbucket and modern development workflows.
- Comfortable communicating clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to take ownership, investigate root causes, and deliver practical, maintainable solutions.
- C++ experience is a plus.
- Healthcare, medical billing, claims, or revenue cycle management experience is a plus.
- Experience improving data security, encryption, and compliance-sensitive systems is a plus.
- Hosting, infrastructure, or DevOps experience is a plus.
