Research Associate
The DSCC is hiring research associates for the 2026 election cycle. Research Associates produce a large segment of the DSCC Research Department’s work product, and are integral to departmental efforts to hold Republican Senate incumbents and challengers accountable. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Production of DSCC research materials, such as long-term background documents, audio/video research portfolios, and rapid response components. Research associates must be able to effectively execute research tasks assigned by department leadership and independently and proactively identify and develop research strategies and priorities in their battleground states of responsibility.
  • Management and training of on-the-ground candidate tracking assets in battleground states.
  • Maintaining and updating media monitoring logs and daily clips of assigned battleground candidates.
  • Assisting with the production and filing of public records requests.
Ideal qualifications for Research Associate include but are not limited to:
  • At least one cycle of campaign or political committee research department experience strongly preferred. Experience with non-political research methods will also be considered.
  • Research associates must be able to work independently and exercise discretion in making significant decisions on DSCC’s behalf with regard to the development and prioritization of the Research Department’s work.
The salary for this position is $62,500 annually.
