KP641 - Full-Time Nanny - Upper East Side

Overview
A warm, kind family on the Upper East Side is seeking a passionate live-out career nanny for their 2 year-old (g) and 4 year-old (b). Both parents have demanding, full-time careers, and the schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8am to 6pm. Candidates will be required to stay late at least a few times per month to accommodate work functions or other, so flexibility is key. There will be (mostly) domestic travel each year and the family spend August in the Hamptons. Candidates will be able to travel home on weekends during this time and will be compensated accordingly for being away from home on all other days. The family do travel to Australia for 2-3 weeks every other year, but the nanny will not be required to join them.
Responsibilities
Taking the children to and from school/classes/playdates (all within walking distance of the family’s apartment), managing the children’s laundry, organizing the children’s clothes, toys, etc. and keeping supplies stocked, as well as simple and nutritious food prep for the children only.
Qualifications
- An educational background in Child Development, ECE or other related field is a huge plus, but passion for childcare and a deep love for children is most important
- At least 7 years’ experience and an intention to stay with the family long-term
- Be loving and affectionate, as well as social and willing to host/attend play dates.
- A clean driving record and current driving license is a plus, but not essential.
Requirements
- Be CPR certified
- US passport, Green Card or EAC
- Be available to start ASAP
Salary and Benefits
- $40/hr + all industry standard benefits
