Overview
A lovely multi-generational family in Woodside is looking for a part-time nanny for their one-year-old Monday through Friday 10:30am - 4:30pm, ideally starting by the end of September/first week of October and going through March with possibility of extending to June. The nanny would know the end date at least a month ahead of time. Some weeks the nanny may be asked to work additional optional hours, with notice, for example when the grandparents are traveling.
This family practices play-based and respectful parenting and they are screen free around the child. The ideal nanny has extensive experience with infants and toddlers and can jump right in to the job, picking up the routine quickly.
Responsibilities
- Full childcare for an active soon-to-be toddler (learning to walk now!)
- Some light child meal prep/BLW, typically only when mom or grandparents are unable to cook.
- Child related laundry and tidying up during naptime
Qualifications
- A nanny who follows baby’s cues, sets healthy boundaries and encourages him to learn from the world and be curious and adventurous. The family values discovery and exploration.
- Happy to be outside and in nature
- Safety conscious and has good judgment (encourage the child to explore but let parents know if there are any injuries or accidents)
- These parents are looking for a teammate who will bring ideas to the table and have conversations about upcoming milestones and developmental stages
- Nice to have: if nanny wants to travel with the family that would be a bonus
Requirements
- A true professional: proactive, reliable, and understands being a career nanny
- Comfortable with parents and grandparents being in and out throughout the day but also able to be sole charge of their son and require little guidance on the day-to-day routine
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Salary and Benefits
$45+ per hour DOE and education
