Overview

A client in SoHo is seeking a full-time live-out superlative nanny for their 3 children. The candidate to hire must be exceptionally professional, embody discretion, and be a career nanny who thrives working with children. The schedule will be Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1pm-9pm & Saturday and Sunday from 8am-6pm. Overnight Saturday night. The role starts as soon as a great fit is found.The family does have another nanny of whom the candidate to hire will at times work alongside during the week from 12pm-5pm. The children are in school full-time beginning in the fall. The children are ages almost 3-years-old, 7-years-old, and 9-years-old. The 9-year-old resides with the family every Wednesday – Friday and every other weekend but the nanny should be prepared regardless to care for all 3 children at once as required, especially when traveling. There will be heavy travel rotated with other nanny when children are on school breaks and the family generally travels from June to late-August (for example: Nice, France; yacht in Greece; South Africa; Aspen, etc.). The nanny to hire must be a self-starter, a team-player, a hard worker, and very professional.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and companionship to the children
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized environment in the children's spaces
  • Light housekeeping duties related to the children: laundry, ironing, organizing closets, and maintaining tidy rooms
  • Heavy travel rotated with other nanny when children are on school breaks
  • Heavier housekeeping while traveling

  • Proven experience as a career nanny
  • French-speaking a strong preferred bonus
  • Time management to get children to after school activities on time
  • Ability to connect with children and become their trusted friend while also remaining truly professional with family and being mindful of professional boundaries
  • Understanding of child development stages
  • Flexibility to accommodate the family's travel schedule
  • Willingness to work on holidays (rotational basis)

Requirements

  • 5+ years as an experienced full-time nanny
  • Excellent work history and references
  • Nonsmoker
  • Proficient swimmer
  • Can ride a bicycle
  • Family has a small dog must be comfortable with dogs
  • Must have travel experience
  • Must be US-passport ready to travel

Salary and Benefits

  • $45/hour weekdays $55/hour weekends
  • Health insurance
  • 401k match
  • Overtime paid as applicable by law
  • $150 for overnight stays
  • Guaranteed pay for 40 hours a week even if not working 40 hours
