HN313 - Full-Time Housekeeper - Westchester NY

Overview

A private household is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for a full-time housekeeping position in Northern Westchester County, NY. The candidate must live within a 30-45 minute maximum commute to Northern Westchester. Punctuality and on-site availability are essential for this role. This role requires a high degree of flexibility, reliability, and discretion, with responsibilities centered around maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in a private household setting. The ideal candidate will have a highly flexible schedule and be available to work 5–6 days per week. Shifts will rotate and may include morning and evening hours. Sample shift times include:• 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM• 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM• 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

When the family isn’t there, shifts are flexible. The property is over 10,000 sq. feet with 10 bathrooms.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform deep cleaning of all household areas, ensuring impeccable standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Manage heavy laundry loads, including care for linens, delicate couture garments, and fine fabrics. Knowledge of fabric care, stain removal, and garment preservation is essential.
• Provide evening turndown service, maintaining a welcoming and restful environment in bedrooms.
• Assist with household organization and support general upkeep tasks as needed.
• Maintain discretion and professionalism at all times while working in a private home.
• Be available and willing to travel with the family on occasion, providing housekeeping support while traveling.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in high-end residential housekeeping or similar professional setting.
• Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques, fabric care, and laundry best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a pristine environment.
• Flexibility in schedule and ability to adapt to changing needs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel, if required.
• Speak both English & Spanish
• Can move fast–high turnover especially in the mornings
• Comfortable with dog care as there are 3 small dogs in the household

Salary and Benefits

• $45/hour
• Full time employees are covered under the group medical/dental/vision plan plus 401K
• Full time employees are eligible for two weeks of vacation each calendar year (pro-rated)
