HN345 - Full-Time Nanny - Lower Manhattan, NYC

Overview

A lower Manhattan-based family is seeking a wonderful full-time live-out nanny for their 3 children under the age of 6. Work hours will generally land between 7:30am-6:30pm. The family is open to guaranteeing between 40-55 hours weekly, depending on the preferred work schedule (Monday through Thursday or Monday through Friday, depending on the candidate). The role starts ASAP. This is a fast-paced and demanding role with high expectations; proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and having a team-oriented mindset while remaining calm and collected is essential in this role. The family values someone who is extremely motivated, warm and upbeat, enjoys being active, and takes initiative with the children and around the house.

Responsibilities

Specific duties are to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for:

• Providing loving care to the children
• Preparing the children's meals
• Tidying up/cleaning as it relates to the children
• Children's laundry
• Adhering to and helping to facilitate planned schedules, school drop-offs, pick-ups, and participating in classes are expected, as well as partnering alongside other caregivers, house staff members, and parents.
• Flexibility/interest for travel (including holidays), occasional weekends/overnights, and supporting family with date nights/work events is required

Requirements

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

• The ability to speak Tagalog
• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a full-time nanny working in private homes
• A well-suited demeanor for working with pre-school and school-aged children
• A schedule with flexibility for evening coverage (work events/date nights), interest in traveling with family domestically, internationally (and staying overnights/late as needed)
• Experience with educational milestones (teaching background would be ideal)
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity, and high emotional intelligence
• Education or equivalent knowledge of the ages and stages of child growth and development
• Readiness to help with light housekeeping and all tasks related to childcare (meal prep, cooking, organizing, laundry, etc.)
• Interest in working in a partnership/alongside other caregivers and the Mother in the home
• Demonstrates professionalism and discretion at all times, reflecting the high standards and values prioritized by the family
• Fluency in both oral and written English

Salary and Benefits

• $40-45 per hour DOE
