Overview
A family in Brooklyn is seeking a wonderful nanny/early childhood governess for their two young boys. The role is live-in while working and begins either Thursday night or Friday morning and ends Sunday evening at ideally 5pm. This role entails working 3 days and 3 nights but for a full-time annual compensation! The children are 3-years-old and 15-months-old. Fridays would be spent mainly with the 3-year-old expanding his horizons and taking him around to museums, to do the ferry, different activities, etc. as he likes to be out, to explore, and to learn and then Saturday/Sunday would be spent caring for both children. The role starts ASAP. When working, the nanny will be with the children from approximately 7am-7pm and on-call overnights with a flat rate overnight compensation provided.
Responsibilities
- Tidying up/cleaning up after the children
- Taking them to enjoy different activities, especially the 3-year-old on Fridays
- Meal/snack prep for the children
- Perhaps occasional laundry if needed for the children (however, someone does this during the week)
- Ideally teaching the children French as the 3-year-old speaks French
- Overnights "on call" with the monitor for the children (compensation of $200 per overnight provided)
- Creating fun, educational, and creative activities for the children
- Potty training as needed (youngest is still in diapers so diaper changes for him)
- Occasional travel to the family's Long Island second home
Qualifications
- The ability to speak French is a strong bonus
Requirements
- Familiar with things to do for toddlers in the area and willing to learn and find new educational things to do and partake in
Salary and Benefits
- $40/hour for weekday hours & $50/hour for weekend hours. Overnight rate of $200 (annual compensation around $102,960-$113,360 as an an overall ballpark figure)
- Monthly healthcare stipend of $300
