Our client is a large, fast-growing organization that operates at the intersection of business management and nonprofit services. They are people-driven and focused on delivering accurate financial processes while fostering internal collaboration. This role reports to a high-level leadership team including a CAO and Controller.


Job Description:

We are seeking an early-career accounting professional ready to step into a process-oriented role with potential for promotion. The Accountant will support monthly close processes, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a great opportunity to build a strong accounting foundation in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monthly financial close, including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Prepare and review financial reports for accuracy and variance analysis
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure integrity of general ledger
  • Review expense batches and ensure proper classification and coding
  • Collaborate with cross-department teams to align reporting and financial data
  • Support audits, budgeting processes, and ad hoc financial projects
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies related to revenue and expenses
  • Utilize ERP systems (Workday or similar) for financial data reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups, etc.)
  • ERP system experience (Workday, NetSuite, Dynamics, QuickBooks preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Maturity and motivation to grow into a senior-level role
