Procurement Manager – Permanent – Dorset – Flexible Salary
STR require a Senior Buyer to join an defence organisation within their Global Supply Chain Team.
As the Procurement you will be supporting and developing procurement strategies with engineering and manufacturing 2nd Tier suppliers within a new programme.
As the Procurement Manager will be working with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all procurement activity provides best practice and adheres to existing projects. The role will require the Procurement Manager to manage the tender process from cradle to grave.
The successful Procurement Manager will have experience ideally within a defence\ aerospace. The Procurement Manager will have extensive experience of managing\negotiating multiple subcontract agreements (running RFI’s , ITT’s etc) while mitigating risk financially.
The Procurement Manager will have an excellent understanding of various contracts such as Firm\Fixed Price & Cost Type & Fixed Price incentive fee.
