Procurement Manager- Manchester/Hybrid- 6 month contract- £350 a day umbrella
Our client are a large public sector organisation looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to provide local knowledge of suppliers, markets and stakeholders in order to provide effective and efficient support to category management in delivery of strategic procurement services.
This role will involve developing and introducing strategic procurement processes into a large global organisation as well as duties set out below;
-Implement the strategic sourcing strategies developed by the category managers by managing the tendering, evaluation, supplier negotiations, and award process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and implementation of best practice.
-Negotiate and agree contracts for the supply of goods and services and SLA’s with suppliers, ensuring contracts are commensurate with commercial best practice and aligned to the category plan.
-Work closely with stakeholders to identify and develop requirements prior to tendering, ensure suppliers are managed appropriately to create value
We are looking for an experience Procurement Manager with experience of the following;
* Previous experience in procuring and Supplier Relationship Management role
* Experience of relevant Category Management.
* Building relationships with internal stakeholders
* Demonstrable experience and knowledge of working within main category areas
