About the job
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Reporting to the Head of Procurement, while working aside a team of Procurement Managers/Officers, as well as Category Managers.
* Lead the procurement, as well as the implementation and monitoring of contracts.
* Delivering in agreement with stakeholder procurement strategies.
Work Experience Requirements:
* Exposure to both public and private sectors, with demonstrable experience with Public Contracts Regulations.
* A successful record in ensuring outstanding value, through: drawing up contracts, demonstrating commercial/financial acumen, and creating detailed tender/contract reports.
* Experience of category lead, and specific business function procurements.
* Strong commercial and legal compliant approach.
The role offers a base salary of up to £52,000 (depending on experience), 26 days holiday rising with length of service. As well as employee support and training, an employee assistance program and non-contributory life assurance.
The role does offer flexibility by embracing a hybrid approach to work (office based 20-40%), however, would suit someone based in the North West of England best.
