Position Summary

Responsibilities
Transportation & Logistics Management
- Analyze and identify the appropriate modes of transportation for CBN’s needs, ensuring the most appropriate mode of transport is used, factoring in elements such as cost, speed, and security
- Negotiate costs with different carriers ensuring the most cost-efficient options are being used for shipments
- Track & trace all shipments (import and export) and keep the CBN team updated on all arrivals. You’ll be the hub of knowledge around shipments and will keep other teams working effectively around the shipment schedule
- Verify that all documents are completed correctly to ensure smooth transition of goods through customs
- Work in our Microsoft Dynamics system to receive shipments for finance, physically receive the shipments and maintain inventory of items where required
- Various other duties and responsibilities
Education and Knowledge
- College diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (or related) or equivalent additional years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of the following is an asset:
- Transportation processes (Road and Air) as well as the customs clearance process;
- Domestic and international freight forwarders and customs brokers;
- Cross border customs shipping documentation (e.g., NAFTA certificates/Certificates of Origin, Proforma and Commercial Invoices, various waybill types etc.);
- Schedule B/Tariff codes classifications process.
- 2+ years of experience in a logistics or supply chain position
- Proficiency in MS 365 (MS Office, Teams, SharePoint)
- Familiarity with MS Dynamics is an asset
