About the job
A vacancy for the post of Logistics Coordinator has arisen within the Logistics Department of Simonds Farsons Cisk plc.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the selected candidate will be required to carry out those delegated duties within the functions of the department to provide the most efficient, reliable, and timely service in support to the overall operations of the Logistics Department.
The selected candidate will be required to:
- Liaise with Logistics Manager and Logistics Executive and lead the team to do all the daily operations required.
- Be able to operate Counterbalance Forklift (inhouse training will be provided – license in hand will be considered an asset).
- Work on 2 shift work basis – morning and afternoon shifts and manage the yard as needed.
- Lead the team to manage loading and unloading of trucks and other warehouse movements needed.
- Check and ensure that the Company’s H&S & Quality Policy Standards are being respected.
- Other tasks as required by Management.
Furthermore, the role will require:
- A minimum of an Ordinary Level standard of education or equivalent
- Be self-motivated, show initiative and capable of working independently on multiple tasks, under minimal supervision.
- Be systematic and possess good communication and organisation skills.
- Relevant work experience in the logistics field will be considered an asset.
