Overview
A young and busy family on the Upper East Side are in search of a new nanny to care for their 18 month old and baby on the way. The family will have a newborn care specialist for the first 4 months. The role is Monday through Friday from 8am until 6pm. The family does travel a few times per year and spend a few weeks during the Summer in the Hampton's and would like someone who can join them on these occasions.
Responsibilities
Providing attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for the children
Maintain a supportive partnership with parents
Managing daily routines- bottle feeding, nap schedules, diaper changes, sensory activities, stroller walks, and bedroom organization
Helping to maintain a smooth-running household- light cooking, general tidiness, keeping child-related items in order
Occasional errands, emptying the dishwasher, and keeping household essentials stocked
Creating a calm, consistent environment while juggling an infant and toddler where the children and family feel supported
- Joining the family on trips from time to time
Qualifications
- A valid and clean driver's license is a plus but not required
- Energetic and engaging
- Developmentally aware, and able to provide a stimulating and enriching environment
- Experience working with multiples
- Seasoned professional who knows how to read the room when needed
Requirements
- Legal to work in the US
- CPR certified
- Experience caring for multiple young children
- The ability to drive is highly desired but NOT required
- Occasional travel- domestic and international, up to one week at a time
- Willing to work at the family's other home in Hampton's on occasion, including for up to one week in the Summer
- History of longevity and looking for a new long-term commitment
Salary and Benefits
- $30-35 per hour- but flexible for the right person and willing to go up
