KH126 - Weekend Nanny - TriBeCa

Overview

A kind and generous return BAHS client based in TriBeCa is seeking a knowledgeable and supportive part-time weekend nanny for their baby to start in September.  The schedule will be Saturday and Sunday 7:30/8am-2/2:30pm. Flexibility to adjust hours to cover a date night, with notice, would be a plus. There may be an occasional weekend outside the city (upstate, Hamptons offseason, etc.) where the weekend nanny would ideally travel with the family and spend 1-2 nights overnight. But those would happen infrequently and would be with plenty of notice. 

Responsibilities

Full infant care including: 

• Changing diapers; restocking the changing area with diapers/wipes
• Baby Laundry - wash, fold, put away 
• Feeding baby and preparing bottles; helping with introducing solids and making purees as the baby gets older
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and prepping breast pump parts 
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and prepping bottles/pacifiers
• Developmentally appropriate play and interaction including singing and reading  
• Maintain feeding and sleeping schedule
• Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
• Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby care, while respecting the family’s personal preference 

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate would be open to supporting the family weekends in the Hamptons for 1-2 months during the summer, however, this is not a requirement. For any weekend away, there would be an opportunity for additional hours and an the overnight rate.
• An easygoing and warm attitude and be able to strike a balance between providing suggestions to parents and following their lead
• Organized and tidy 
• Happy to work as a team with involved parents 
• Water safe as the Hamptons home does have a pool. The nanny will not be expected to swim with the baby though.

Requirements

• Minimum of at least 5 years' verifiable experience working with infants
• Current CPR/first aid certification, or willing to re-certify before start date
• US passport, Green Card or EAC 
• Up to date on Tdap and MMR vaccinations or willing to update 

Salary and Benefits

$35-45 per hour with guaranteed hours

Benefits to be discussed (PTO, sick days, holidays, etc.)

For any weekends away, an overnight rate would apply 

Weekends in the Hamptons: Transportation costs reimbursed (train/Jitney ticket or mileage reimbursement if driving)
