First Officer Pilot – Part 135 Charter Operations Location: KLAS (Las Vegas) or Designated Thrive Aviation Crew Base Position Summary Thrive Aviation seeks a highly motivated and skilled First Officer to join its growing Part 135 charter operation. The First Officer is fundamentally responsible for achieving safe, efficient, and compliant ground and flight operations across the fleet. This pivotal role demands operational excellence, superior customer service, and seamless communication with Leadership, Dispatch, Maintenance, and fellow Team Members, ensuring all missions exceed the stringent standards of safety and client expectation. Duties and Responsibilities The First Officer shall maintain administrative accountability to the Chief Pilot. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Maintain primary responsibility for the safe and efficient execution of all phases of flight, including pre-flight, ground operations, and in-flight maneuvers. Anticipate and strive to exceed the expectations of all customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Ensure complete compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, Thrive Aviation’s General Operations Manual (GOM), and all Operational Specifications. Maintain clear and effective communications and coordination with the assigned flight crew, dispatchers, maintenance personnel, and administrative teams. Actively support the company’s growth trajectory and be willing to embrace new operational challenges within a fast-paced environment. Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership or management. Minimum Qualifications and Experience Candidates for the First Officer position must meet the following minimum requirements: A minimum of 1,000 hours of Fixed Wing Total Time. A minimum of 500 hours of Pilot-In-Command (PIC) Total Time. Possession of a current, unexpired US Passport. Possession of a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings. Possession of an FCC Radio License. Must maintain a current, valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Eligibility to fly internationally into any country or jurisdiction without restriction. Must reside within a two-hour commuting distance of the primary base (KLAS) or one of Thrive Aviation’s remote Crew Bases. Preferred Qualifications In addition to meeting all minimum requirements, highly competitive candidates will possess the following qualifications: More than 1,500 hours of Fixed Wing Total Time. A minimum of 50 hours of Multi-Engine Time. A minimum of 500 hours of Total Turbine Time. Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate. Previous operational experience within Corporate Aviation or Part 135 Charter environments. A current type rating for aircraft within the Thrive Aviation fleet. Physical Requirements and Work Environment The First Officer role requires the ability to successfully meet specific physical demands essential to flight crew operations: Must obtain and continuously maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate. Requires the ability to maintain a seated position in a confined cockpit space for extended periods of time. The work environment involves frequent interaction with customers and other flight crew members in close quarters. This position involves extensive travel, potentially requiring the employee to spend several days or weeks away from the home base. The nature of Part 135 operations dictates irregular scheduling, and the employee must be prepared for calls to fly or notifications of flight cancellations with minimal advance notice.
