Job Details
Our client, a premier provider in Biotech services, is seeking a skilled Data & IT Security Specialist to join its Singapore team. This role focuses on safeguarding sensitive healthcare and laboratory data, driving digital transformation initiatives, and managing Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) in the life sciences and clinical diagnostics domain. The ideal candidate will have healthcare IT security experience, strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, and a passion for protecting patient and research data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT security policies, standards, and procedures specific to healthcare and diagnostic data protection.
- Manage and secure Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and associated healthcare applications.
- Lead digital transformation efforts by integrating secure technology solutions in healthcare and diagnostics workflows.
- Conduct regular IT risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and audits in compliance with Singapore regulations (e.g., PDPA, Cybersecurity Act).
- Collaborate with cross-functional clinical, research, and IT teams to ensure data security best practices.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches promptly.
- Stay updated on healthcare IT security trends, threats, and compliance requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of IT security experience, preferably within healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences.
- Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and healthcare digital systems.
- Strong understanding of Singapore healthcare data regulations and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA) are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
