About the job

About the Role
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who can manage our current on-premise deployment operations
while helping us transition to a hybrid modern architecture.
You’ll handle .NET 4.0 / 6.0 applications today and help pave the way for .NET 7 & 8 with Linux-ready
deployments tomorrow.
Our systems run on MSSQL Server Enterprise (on-prem), and we plan to expand toward RDS / Azure SQL
as part of our modernization roadmap.
You’ll work with our development team and customer IT admins to ensure stable, secure, and
repeatable deployments within restricted, closed network environments — while preparing automation
and standards for the future.

Key Responsibilities :
Current Scope (On-Prem Environment)

  • Manage build, versioning, and packaging of .NET 4.0 / 6.0 applications using Azure DevOps Git
for source control and project tracking.
  • Coordinate manual or scripted deployments to customer-side environments (Dev, UAT,
Production) with no public network access.
  • Maintain deployment scripts (PowerShell, batch, or equivalent) to ensure repeatability and
    rollback capability.
  • Work closely with customer IT teams to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications in
Windows Server / IIS / MSSQL environments.
  • Document deployment workflows, configurations, and environment dependencies across
    multiple clients.
  • Use Azure DevOps Boards for task tracking, sprint management, and release documentation.
    Future Scope (Transition & Modernization)
  • Contribute to the adoption of .NET 7 / 8, including cross-platform builds (Windows & Linux).
  • Assist in planning and implementing database migration from on-prem MSSQL Server
Enterprise to RDS / Azure SQL.
  • Research and design lightweight CI/CD or hybrid automation processes compatible with airgapped or partially connected environments.
  • Support the setup and management of Linux-based application servers and container-ready
    configurations (where applicable).
  • Build long-term documentation for future cloud or hybrid deployments, ensuring backward
    compatibility and security compliance.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps Git (Repos, Boards, Wiki) and version control workflows.
  • Proficiency in .NET Framework 4.0 and .NET 6.0 build processes; familiarity with upcoming .NET 7 /8.
  • Familiar with Node,js and frontend framework such as REACT & Vue.js deveployment and
    problems.
    Requirements :
  • Hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, and MSSQL Server.
  • Competence in PowerShell or Bash scripting for deployment automation.
  • Understanding of networking, firewall configurations, and security within isolated environments.
  • Strong documentation discipline — versioning, configuration, and change logs are essential.
