POSITION

We are seeking an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for attracting, sourcing, and securing top-tier talent for our technical and senior leadership roles in North America. This position will develop strategies related to talent acquisition and partner directly with the hiring managers to identify, assess and source candidates.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract high-quality candidates
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial sourcing to offer negotiation for a variety of open positions at any given time
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create compelling job descriptions
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including passive search, job boards, social media, and professional networks
  • Conduct preliminary interviews and assessments of candidates
  • Maintain detailed records and pipeline of candidates and recruitment activities
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment and provide the insight and feedback on how we can incorporate it our day to day
  • Provide market intelligence and shape hiring strategies in consultation with senior leaders
  • Evaluate and improve recruitment programs and processes
  • Participate in strategic projects related to talent acquisition, such as tool implementation and employer branding
  • Organize and attend career fairs, networking events, and other recruitment activities

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical recruitment and senior leadership roles, preferably in the software industry
  • Strong knowledge of IT/Digital talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effectively able to communicate with hiring manager at various levels and capacities in order to develop a reliable working relationship
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools
  • Familiarity with Canadian employment laws and regulations
  • Experience with high-volume recruiting in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of successfully placing candidates in technical roles and senior leadership roles
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CPHR) designation (preferred)
