Senior Project manager

STR Group Services – Senior Project Manager – Croydon – Contract – £650 – £850 day – 12 months – SC

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a large public sector organisation as part of the Infrastructure and Platforms team. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for on-boarding programmes and projects onto the clients’ data centre.

Responsibilities:
– Define, document and execute safe delivery of a major project or several smaller initiatives.
– Estimate costs and stay within budget and on time
– Effectively lead teams to be motivated and develop skills
– Build and maintain effectively relationships with stakeholders
– Provide technical support to the project
– Prepare and maintain project plans to accurately track project progress and resources

Essential Skills/Experience:
– Prince 2 or equivalent
– Experience in sucessful IT Infrastructure and data centre projects
– MS Project and Resource Management
– Strong understanding of data centres
– Data centre infrastructure technology knowledge
– Knowledge of the Government security framework
– Testing Infrastructure upon completion
– Technical background
– Knowledge of compute, storage and network services
– Previous experience of providing technical solutions
