Role:
Strike is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to manage and oversee our financial operations. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, this role will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting on a global scale. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in audit or financial reporting, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Perform reconciliations and detailed account analysis during the monthly close process, leveraging internal data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee the accounting for complex business entities, particularly a parent organization with multiple subsidiaries.
- Work with foreign currencies and manage the financial operations of international subsidiaries.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including the company’s global payroll and accounts payable processes.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Coordinate and manage the audit process, working with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting, and provide supporting documentation for external audits, including international subsidiary audits.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Handle treasury responsibilities, including cash management and financial planning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal business teams.
- Assist with compliance of state and federal tax regulations, including working with external firms on the preparation and submission of tax returns.
- Work on multiple priorities simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA is preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience in audit or financial reporting
- Bitcoin knowledge and interest is a plus
- Proven experience with accounting for complex business entities, particularly with multiple subsidiaries
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-starter with the ability to work on multiple priorities at once
- Experience with general ledger software applications, such as Intacct or Netsuite
