We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing accounts payable processes, strong analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail. This role will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and supporting month-end close processes. The Senior Accounts Payable Analyst will also play a key role in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
Location: This role is based out of Mexico City, Mexico, and is a full-time hybrid position where it is required to come into our office in Roma Norte. #LI-HYBRID
Job Responsibilities
- AP and Expenses Management: Invoice Processing, vendor management, record keeping, tracking payments, process improvement, partnership with P&F team to provide information.
- Month-End Close: Work with the team on the month-end close - manage the processes from start to end, ensure accuracy of the company’s financial reporting and provide detail for analysis expenses.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures., Maintain accurate historical records. Prepare and file various tax forms and reports as needed.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Assist in the development and implementation of new systems and procedures.
- Collaborate with the product team in developing features to improve the functionality of Jeeves’s product.
- Collaborate with externals providing information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks).
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Deep understanding of accounts payable functions and procedures.
- Experience with process improvement and system implementation projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
