Vaco is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team as a Consultant. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in managing various aspects of the accounting function. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and commitment to delivering accurate and timely financial information.

Location: Phoenix, AZ (hybrid)
Pay Rate: $45 - $55 per hour (depending on experience)
Project Length: Approx. 3 - 6 months

Responsibilities include:

• Contribute to month-end close processes

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accountants

• Provide support during preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and irregularities

• Ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles

• Strong skillset in Excel and other ERP software

• Commitment to duration and needs of project
