Overview
A warm, caring family based in Palo Alto, CA seeking a nurturing and proactive full-time nanny to care exclusively for their energetic, bright, and curious 2.5-year-old daughter. This role is Monday through Saturday, from 8am 6pm, with flexibility for overnights and extended travel. Their daughter is beginning school and activities soon, and they are looking for someone who thrives on routine, play, movement, and connection. Their home is calm, respectful, and joyful and they are looking to welcome someone who feels aligned with that energy. They are looking for a heart-centered, intuitive, and committed nanny who is energized by child development and loves being part of a family’s rhythm. This role is ideal for someone who is excited about adventure, adaptable, and thrives in new experiences while still maintaining consistency and calm for the child. The family is open to live-in or live-out options and the role starts in early May.
Responsibilities
- Full care of 2.5-year-old daughter
- Drives child to and from school and activities
- Assists with light household support such as vacuuming the playroom, taking out the trash, feeding our small dog, changing the dog pad, and folding the child’s laundry
- Able to respectfully blend into a home—offering presence without overpowering, and holding space with calm and professionalism
- Traveling solo with the child if a parent is away
- Accompanying the family on extended trips
- Overnights and up to a full week of 24/7 care while mom is traveling
- Helping the child adjust to new environments, time zones, and routines with grace and flexibility
- Supporting the child with meals, naps, and bedtime during travel
- Sharing a room or co-sleeping with the toddler during travel if needed
- Brings a positive, can-do energy and loves being part of a family team
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children, especially those who are active and neurodivergent (familiarity with ADHD is a big plus)
- Physically active, kind, patient, and creative in play and learning
- Excited about adventure, adaptable, and thrives in new experiences while still maintaining consistency and calm for the child.
- Sees this work as a calling, not just a job
Requirements
- Legal to work in US
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Comfortable around dogs
Salary and Benefits
$35–$40/hour and up to $45/hour for exceptional candidates
$300 monthly health insurance stipend provided.
Holiday pay may be compensated as overtime
