SA093 - Temporary Full-Time Nanny - Palo Alto, CA

Overview

A busy, loving family in Palo Alto, CA is looking for temporary full-time nanny for their 2-year-old daughter.  This is a Monday through Friday role from 8am-6pm with occasional weekends and some overnights when the parents are traveling.  The role starts April 5 and goes until October 1, 2025. The family would like to interview, trial and hire for this role prior to March 17, 2025, as then the family will be out of town for a few weeks and want to have their nanny secured and in place when they return. The family also has a newborn who will have her own nanny. 

Responsibilities

Full toddler-related care, including:

• Maintaining a safe and engaging environment.
• Planning and engaging in age-appropriate educational activities (e.g., reading, arts & crafts, sensory play, music, and outdoor play).
• Encouraging language development and interactive play.
• Supporting fine and gross motor skill development through creative and physical activities.
• Assisting with potty training (VERY IMPORTANT)
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks.
• Keeping all toddler-related areas clean and organized.
• Sterilizing toys and maintaining hygiene practices.
• Avoiding cell phone use during work hours and staying attentive at all times.
• Providing regular updates and pictures to parents throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Flexibility on schedule with ability to stay late and do overnights from time to time (additional compensation provided)
• Able to speak English and Portuguese
• Can-do- attitude

Requirements

• Legal to work in US
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Available to work April 5 - October 1, 2025

Salary and Benefits

$40/hr plus $100 additional for each overnight
