SA095 - Part-Time-Caregiver - Greenwich, CT

Overview

A family in Greenwich, CT is looking for an experienced, compassionate, and trustworthy part-time caregiver for their 80-year-old mom.  This is a Monday through Friday, 20 hour per week role.  Family is flexible on exact hours. The mom lives at home with her 85-year-old husband, and the family is looking for overall support for their mom, while their father is busy working, and doing other activities outside of the home.  Their daughter lives out of town and the son lives nearby.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mom’s physical and mental health regularly
• Check and keep track of her general health and vitals
• Be attentive to any changes in her health and communicate them as needed
• Provide general post-surgery care
• Assist with exercises or activities aimed at helping her regain strength and maintain mobility
• Provide guidance and encouragement during these activities
• Foster social interaction and emotional engagement to improve her vitality and quality of life
• Handle light household tasks or errands when needed (e.g., organizing, meal prep, or tidying up)
• Drive and attend appointments with mom to ensure right questions are asked and proper follow up
• Communicate with grown children on updates regarding mom's day and health

Salary and Benefits

• $35-$40 per hour
