Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our Saudi Arabia operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in metal fabrication and supplier management within the oil & gas sector. This role focuses on driving supplier compliance, continuous improvement, and alignment with CSI’s quality standards. This position is pivotal to the growth and expansion of our business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier quality for fabricated and welded components; oversee compliance to drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Review and follow up on non-conformity reports, drive root cause analysis, and lead Kaizen-based corrective actions.
- Ensure supplier processes comply with ISO 9001; conduct audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality performance through effective communication, process understanding, and technical engagement.
- Review welding procedures, support NDE plan evaluations, and ensure quality across fabrication and assembly processes.
- Ensure final product means all customer and industry specifications.
- Lead the 9COM approval process.
- Familiar with IKTVA requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in quality and supplier quality development roles.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, and oil & gas manufacturing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with supplier-focused lean initiatives, including problem solving, process standardization and waste reduction.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to travel within the region to other suppliers.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
- Understanding of NDE requirements (RT, UT, PT, etc.) is essential.
- Full-time position with occasional extended hours based on operational needs.
- On-site role in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and production processes.
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Needs to be able to communicate and function within Saudi Arabia.
- Ability to communicate with diverse mix of nationalities coming to Saudi preferred.
- Basic math skills required with Algebra and Trigonometry preferred.
- Must be able to understand and solve problems and situations in the best interest of all parties involved.
- Basic computer skills required such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to be trained and operate within CSI Ametek ERP system.
- Highly motivated individual willing to take on additional responsibilities and duties under a challenging and compressed schedules.
