QA TEST ENGINEER – IDENTITY DATA MANAGEMENT

Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Test Engineer specializing in Identity Data Management (IDDM) to join our growing team. A strong background in manual testing is required, but candidates with test automation skills will be given significant preference. Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, and experience in deploying IDDM in these environments is also preferred. This role is well-suited for professionals with extensive functional expertise in Identity Data Management, strong familiarity with our common integrations and use cases, and a passion for excelling in structured, process-oriented environments.

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive manual testing for the IDDM product, ensuring thorough test coverage and high accuracy in results.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed test libraries, cases, and support documentation to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Execute manual test procedures in accordance with established standards, documenting each step, and ensuring all outcomes align with requirements.
- Set up and manage QA/test lab environments, including:
- Configuring, managing, and deploying IDDM in all supported deployments: on-premises (classic installers), Kubernetes (self-managed and EOC).
- Generate supporting materials and backends for test cases (datasets, certificates, schemas, sandbox data sources, etc.)
- Run manual test scripts and accurately record results using industry-standard test management systems.
- Communicate defects, risks, and test outcomes to stakeholders in concise and precise formats.
- Proactively collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to support continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in manual testing, including test library creation/maintenance and procedure documentation.
- Expert-level IDDM knowledge, including all variations of the configuration and deployments (including migration tool and how to perform updates)
- Proficient at identifying root causes of bugs by analyzing the IDDM logs
- Proven ability to set up and troubleshoot IDDM Test Environments, and to reproduce complex customer configurations
- Hands-on experience with:
- Containers (e.g., Docker)
- Kubernetes orchestration
- Deploying and managing IDDM within these environments
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python (JMeter experience is a plus). Knowledge of Java and the ability to write Java code are a plus.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is highly desirable.
- CI/CD and DevOps-related skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with at least some of the typical IAM services & protocols we integrate is expected:
- Active Directory
- LDAP
- Entra ID, Okta, Sailpoint, Ping, CyberArk, KeyCloak, Savyint
- SCIM
- RESTful APIs
- Exposure to test management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and TestRail or equivalent systems.
