Shift Team Leader – Dairy Production

Location: Keighley, West Yorkshire

Working Hours: Average 40-48 hours per week, 5 days (including weekends and nights)

Salary: £13.38 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Leading and supervising a team of production operatives during assigned shift, ensuring adherence to all protocols and safety guidelines
• Overseeing the daily production and packaging operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and identify areas of improvement
• Organizing and allocating tasks to the team, ensuring they are performed efficiently and within set deadlines
• Monitoring machinery and equipment performance, and reporting any issues to the maintenance team promptly
• Collaborating with different departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient production processes
• Conducting regular performance evaluations, providing feedback, and implementing necessary training and development programs
• Maintaining accurate records of production output, quality control checks, and employee attendance
• Upholding health and safety standards, adhering to hygiene regulations, and promoting a safe working environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a fast-paced production environment, preferably within the dairy industry
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and hands-on approach to work
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends as required
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
• Computer literate and familiar with production management systems
