About the job

DeatschWerks, located in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a driven and passionate Product Manager to join our team. This role is central to expanding our product line beyond fuel system components into complementary automotive performance products while ensuring smooth execution from concept through launch.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, technically minded automotive enthusiast who thrives on both strategic analysis and tactical follow-through. You will manage the details that keep product development moving, interface with our international vendors, and help free up our technical team to focus on innovation.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the product launch process from concept to market.
  • Conduct market research to evaluate opportunities including in complementary automotive products and report findings to leadership.
  • Interface directly with vendors, especially international suppliers, fostering respectful, culturally sensitive communication to improve timelines and product quality.
  • Collaborate with supply chain to optimize sourcing, manage lead times, and ensure timely product availability.
  • Maintain and organize product databases, including specifications, instructions, photos, and catalog copy for internal and external use.
  • Support the product development team by handling administrative and operational tasks.
  • Coordinate internally with sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure smooth product introductions and cross-functional alignment.
  • Track post-launch performance and help identify opportunities to enhance products, reduce costs, or expand into adjacent categories.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Proven ability to execute tactical projects and manage the details that take a product from concept to customer.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication with a collaborative approach—able to influence across teams without direct authority.
  • Experience working with international vendors, ideally with an understanding of cultural nuances in business communications.
  • Hands-on automotive passion—you understand performance car enthusiasts because you are one.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and modern research tools (including AI-assisted searches).
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and driven by both accountability and craftsmanship.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. Days of work/hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evenings and weekend work as well as travel may be required as job duties demand.  Relocation assistance is available.

Your Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; technical background strongly preferred (mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or similar).
  • 5+ years of product management or related experience, ideally in the high-performance automotive aftermarket.
  • Track record of successfully launching products and coordinating cross-functional teams.
