About the job
The Theoretical QIS+QFT Group in the Department of Physics at National Taiwan University invites applications for a postdoctoral position at the interface of quantum information science (QIS) and quantum field theory (QFT). Applicants with a background in either QIS or QFT are welcome.
Our group has access to cloud-based quantum computing resources through IBM and AWS, and an IBM quantum computer is expected to be acquired soon with support from the Taiwanese funding agency.
The appointment is expected to begin on August 1, 2026 (negotiable). The successful candidate will be encouragedâbut not requiredâto collaborate with Prof. Jiunn-Wei Chen (https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=2kD7i7AAAAAJ&view_op=list_works). The initial term is two years, with the possibility of a third-year extension, contingent upon funding availability and satisfactory performance.
For full consideration, applications should be submitted by January 1, 2026. Review of applications will, however, continue until the position is filled.
Application materials should include:
⢠Curriculum vitae (CV)
⢠List of publications
⢠Statement of research interests
⢠Three letters of recommendation
All materials should be submitted via AcademicJobsOnline.
