About the job

The High Energy Physics group in the Department of Physics at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a full-time postdoctoral fellow position in theoretical particle physics starting fall 2025. The initial appointment will be for one year and is renewable annually for up to three years, contingent upon performance and availability of funds. The successful candidate will carry out theoretical research in high energy physics that leads to peer-reviewed publications in reputable scientific journals and will have an important role to play in maintaining the research excellence of the High Energy group at OSU. This includes helping with the mentorship of graduate students and seminar organization. They should also demonstrate the ability to work effectively with faculty and students within the theory group The research interests of the high energy theorists at OSU (K. Babu, V. Brdar, and D. Gonçalves) involve collider physics, dark matter, neutrino phenomenology and other Beyond the Standard Model physics. There is also opportunity to interact with the high energy experimental group at OSU, who are involved in the ATLAS experiment at CERN. The minimum qualifications are an earned PhD in theoretical High Energy Physics with a research publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Those who anticipate receiving their PhD degree by or before August 2025 are encouraged to apply.
