Oracle Developer

Responsibilities

• Assist in writing and executing SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from Oracle databases.
• Write basic PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers under the guidance of senior developers.
• Help in developing applications using Oracle tools like Oracle APEX, Oracle Forms, or other frameworks with support from senior team members.
• Assist with tasks like data migration, database backups, and basic recovery processes.
• Identify and resolve minor bugs or issues in SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
• Assist in monitoring the performance of SQL queries and suggest basic optimizations under supervision.
• Work closely with senior developers, database administrators (DBAs), and other team members to develop and maintain applications.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with SQL for querying Oracle databases, including SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE operations.
• Understanding of basic PL/SQL concepts like creating simple procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Experience with Oracle tools such as SQL Developer, Oracle Forms, or Oracle APEX is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of relational database concepts (tables, relationships, keys) and how to query and manage data.
• Ability to troubleshoot simple issues in SQL or PL/SQL code with guidance.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Gitor SVN to manage and collaborate on code.
