Irvine, CA POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing Content Writer is responsible for oversight and creation of all client-facing communication assets. In this dynamic role, a qualified and talented writer will ensure seamless consistency with Cryoport Systems’ tone of voice and brand identity. The Content Writer is an expert communicator who is responsible for producing, editing, and reviewing copy across various print and digital platforms. This position requires experience developing narrative strategy, a reporter’s mentality, and a passion for helping people become more data-informed. The ideal candidate will have experience creating compelling content for the life sciences industry as well as experience in digital publishing, including SEO best practices and how to package content for multiple distribution platforms. This role will include both proactive and reactive projects, in which the individual will apply their expertise to satisfy content assignment requests. The individual will be driven to produce high-quality work under pressure, exhibit excellent organizational skills, and ensure brand and tone of voice consistency across all materials. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to): Conceptualize and create captivating content that enhances the brand across all marketing assets (e.g., case studies, white papers, articles, blogs, slide decks, email campaigns, website, promotional flyers, specification sheets, etc.) for each of the three business sectors – Biopharmaceutical, Animal Health, and Reproductive Medicine. Interview subject matter experts and convert technical information and data into compelling brand narratives, articles, case studies, white papers, and other marketing assets. Responsible to execute on all writing needs across Cryoport Systems’ marketing channels and to expand our brand, generate new clients, optimize SEO, and improve inbound marketing standards. Write high quality B2B and B2C marketing content that builds awareness and engagement with Cryoport Systems’ brand and solutions. Follow and collaborate on an editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of materials. Proofread marketing and client-facing content to ensure proper spelling and grammar Develop authoritative content by optimizing copy for search engines, maintaining a target audience-first mindset, and conducting research on relevant topics and brand-related trends. Leverage tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to compile organic search performance data to inform content recommendations. Stay informed of the latest trends in SEO and use SEO strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of the website in search results. Act as the brand voice expert by internalizing, owning, and continuously strengthening the brands’ distinct personality in communications. Maintain approved marketing copy library (e.g. product, feature, and accessory descriptions) for use in print and digital materials and by other teams in and outside of Marketing. Create content workflows that are scalable and consistent (research, outline, draft, edit, collaborate, and distribute). Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to achieve team goals, including but not limited to, inbound lead generation, organic traffic, landing page downloads, paid search ROI and revenue. Support the Marketing Team on internal communications and content such as internal emails and the company’s intranet platform. Work with the Marketing Team to develop scripts for videos, webinars, etc. Maintain an open channel of communication with key stakeholders to develop marketing support that meets required specifications. Keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously and on schedule in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Maintain brand, tone of voice, and standards across all company channels. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field Minimum 2 years as a writer with experience in the life sciences industry or other related fields Portfolio that exhibits robust and comprehensive marketing content for the life sciences industry or other related fields Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
