Overview
A loving family of three living in the Midtown East area of NYC is seeking a full-time nanny for their three month old daughter. Their home has a peaceful, respectful vibe where clear communication and a gentle, team-oriented approach are really important. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 40-45 hours per week. The role is live-out while in the city (September through May) and live-in during the summer in the Hamptons. The position would start in September. Local candidates to the tri-state area only. The family is not looking to relocate anyone.
Responsibilities
Providing attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for the child and supportive partnership with a hands-on mom and dad
Managing daily infant routines: bottle feeding, nap schedules, diaper changes, sensory activities, stroller walks, and nursery organization
Helping maintain a smooth-running household—light cooking, general tidiness, keeping baby-related items in order
Occasional errands, dog walking, or keeping household essentials stocked
Creating a calm, consistent environment where the baby and family feel supported
Qualifications
Emotionally intelligent, observant, and in tune with the dynamics of the home—you know when to take initiative and when to step back
Peaceful, grounded, and nurturing—someone who brings a steady, mindful energy into the household
Comfortable working alongside parents as a true teammate
Enthusiastic about being part of a family’s long-term rhythm
Requirements
- Legal to work in the US
- CPR certified (or open to certification—family will cover the cost)
- Valid and clean driver's license is a plus but not required
- Fluent in English, second language is a plus
- Already living locally to the NYC area
- Up-to-date with vaccinations or willing to become current (family will provide support)
- A seasoned caregiver with prior professional nanny experience, especially with newborns and infants
- Must enjoy being around pets—there’s a gentle family dog at home
Salary and Benefits
