KS865 - Nanny/Family Assistant - Hillsborough, CA

Overview

A family living in Hillsborough, CA is seeking an experienced family assistant to join their team!  There are two children, ages six and eight years old.  The schedule will consist of two different shifts to accommodate a custody schedule. You should be flexible to accommodate changes in the family's schedule depending on time of year. The schedule will be Wednesday through Saturday (see below for details) or Sunday through Wednesday.  Currently, the schedule is Sunday through Wednesday but at some point the custody schedule may move to a 5:2/2:5 schedule.  Here are both scenerios:

Sun-Wed Schedule

• Sunday 8am-8pm
• Monday: 7am-8pm
• Tuesday: 7am-9pm
• Wednesday: 7am-12pm

Five/Two schedule

Week 1:

• Mon: 7am to 8pm
• Tues: 7am to 8pm
• Wed: OFF
• Thurs: OFF
• Fri: 7am to 6pm
• Sat: 8am to 8pm
• Sun: 7am to 8pm

Week 2:

• Mon: 7am to 8pm
• Tues: 7am to 8pm
• Wed-Sun: OFF

Responsibilities

• Daily care of two school-age children, ages six and eight years old.
• Maintain routines for eating, sleeping, exercising, and scheduled activities
• Transport to/from school and activities
• Flexibility to help watch when sick or on weekends (flexibility is key)
• Assist with homework
• Children's laundry
• Occasionally travel with family
• Swimming with children or being available to watch children in pool as needed
• Cooking and meal prep
• Grocery shopping
• Light housekeeping - tidying up (there is a cleaner 3x per week)
• Take out trash when cleaners not in
• Manage complex personal schedules, including hair and doctor appointments, and social events.
• Arrange domestic and international travel, including booking flights, accommodations, and ground transportation. Obtain visas and other necessary travel documents.
• Handle personal errands and tasks, such as shopping, gift procurement, dry cleaning
• Research and reservations for kids camps, tutors, sports coach, etc
• Help with house maintenance and scheduling regular services
• Occasionally meet vendors onsite to let them on property
• Maintain the care of automobiles, including scheduling regular service

Requirements

• Legal to work in the US
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a high-level family assistant, preferably with UHNW families
• Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
• Energetic, engaging, and fun-seeking approach to childcare
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and other relevant software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• CPR certified. (Will pay to have this certification)
• Ability to swim
