KO529 - Full-Time Infant Nanny - Downtown, NY

Overview

Amazing new parents based in downtown Manhattan are looking for a career nanny (live-in or live-out) who has infant experience. The start time will be the middle of March  when the baby is 3 months old but they can be flexible for the right person. The schedule for the role is Monday through Friday ideally from 7:30am until 7:30pm. The family will need someone 50-60 hours per week and will guaranteed 50 hours per week with OT after 40. 

Responsibilities

• All baby-related care such as diapering, feeding, burping, bathing, putting down for naps, keeping a baby schedule, overseeing tummy time and developmental activities, reading to the baby, rocking the baby, baby laundry, nursery organization, etc. 
• Help facilitate parents bonding with the child and know when to step in and out (i.e. when parents are home, bringing baby to play with parents when baby is awake/alert, but offering to help when baby is fussy/needs to be soothed)
• Responsibilities will evolve as the child grows and candidate should be able to evolve with them 
• Provide a stimulating environment for the child (reading, playing, talking, etc.)
• Excited about and enjoys spending time with children, without being overly affectionate (e.g. kissing the baby)

Qualifications

• Family wants a nanny for the long term, so ideally a candidate who is a career nanny and enjoys being one
• Clean, tidy, leaving a small footprint, respectful of house rules and family’s privacy
• flexibility to work over-time if needed
• Both parents will be in and out throughout the day, so the you should be comfortable interacting with them and working as a team
• Willing to minimize your own screen time when spending time with the child

Requirements

• Willing to defer to parents even if you disagree with them
• Recent infant experience 
• Ability as well as eagerness to travel both domestically and internationally 

Salary and Benefits

• $35 per hour with a guaranteed 50 hours per week, OT after 40 hours
• $500 per month toward health insurance 
• PTO
