IT Project Manager – Norwich – 3 Month Contract Initially – £32.13 per hour umbrella
Our client is a large public sector organisation who requires an experienced Technical Local Full Fibre Networks Project Manager to manage the LFFN Implementation Project, connecting high speed fibre to 372 public sector locations across the county. You will be reporting to the overall Networks Programme Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the contract to ensure adherence to key elements, such as Customer Obligations and Allowable Assumptions.
* Manage their responsibilities for local site engagement including managing the site schedule to optimise the deployment rate and managing the site co-ordinators.
* Manage and update the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) in-Build Management Information Template to ensure they meet its reporting responsibilities
* Manage the Change Control Process with the Managed Service Provider and the DCMS.
* Provide leadership as required to a project team including the range of people management skills required to achieve objectives. This will include working with customers and suppliers and management of project team resources making maximum use of deployed resources using matrix management skills
* Manage project documentation to ensure that the storage, retrieval, disposal and management of all project information is compliant with agreed policies and standards including creating, maintaining and monitoring project plans
* Develop and maintain sufficient technical awareness in the project area to enable informed management decision making
Requirements:
* Proven experience of managing complex commercial relationships
* Proven experience of managing a complex network infrastructure deployment
* Proven experience of applying project management frameworks, tools and templates to manage and control time-critical technical projects
* Proven ability to manage reporting requirements for large capital projects
* Prince 2 Practitioner
