Birmingham, AL | Hybrid
$50–55/hr | Contract Role
We’re seeking an experienced Internal Audit Consultant to support our client on a project basis. This role will focus on performing financial and operational audits, assessing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing audit engagements, including assessing risks and designing audit programs.
- Conduct audits across various business functions, identifying control gaps and recommending process improvements.
- Prepare detailed audit documentation and draft reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Partner with management to ensure timely remediation of audit findings.
- Stay current on regulatory updates and internal audit best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 years of internal or external audit experience.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, GAAP, and risk management practices.
- CPA or CIA preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit documentation tools.
