Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Forecasting:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business goals
- Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term business plans
- Analyse market trends and financial data to advise on business decisions
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Produce accurate financial reports, statements, and performance metrics
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted figures
- Present financial results to senior management and stakeholders
- Cost Control & Efficiency:
- Monitor operational costs and implement cost-reduction strategies
- Identify areas for financial improvement and increased efficiency
- Oversee asset and capital expenditure management
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards
- Liaise with External Auditors, regulatory bodies, and tax authorities
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements
- Manage bank relationships, loans, and funding arrangements
- Oversee investment and financing decisions
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure performance and professional growth
- Oversee training, delegation, and performance reviews
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial and operational goals
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Provide strategic financial input to the executive team
- Prepare financial presentations for shareholders and Board meetings
- Support business development and project feasibility assessments
Qualifications & Skills:
- BCom Accounting Degree
- CIMA
- ACCA
- Knowledge of IFRS
