This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

About this role

As Finance Manager for Turkiye, you will be responsible for a variety of core accounting operations for our Turkish entity, including general ledger, accounts payable, operating expenses, and payroll accounting functions. Reporting to the Senior Director of International Accounting, you will take a hands-on approach, developing best in class policies and processes while helping execute and deliver during the accounting close.

You will routinely collaborate with multiple cross-functional colleagues across the globe, including Tax, Legal, Treasury, People, and Procurement, to ensure proper accounting treatment and timely financial results.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for the Turkish entity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive internal controls framework to ensure compliance with local regulations and global Udemy standards.

• Manage accounting reconciliations across all key accounts including cash, revenue, expenses, and intercompany transactions.

• Manage all accounts payable processes from end to end for our Turkish entity.

• Liaise with our global payroll team on local payroll issues.

• Collaborate with our global treasury team on Turkish banking activity and banking operations.

• Oversee local tax compliance, statutory reporting, and audit coordination with external auditors and tax advisors.

• Implement and continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.

• Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure consistent application of accounting standards and reporting requirements.

• Ensure compliance with R&D (Technopark) regulations, including relevant tax incentives, reporting obligations, and operational requirements.

What you’ll have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred.

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with responsibility for financial reporting and process management.

• Strong knowledge of Turkish accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

• Experience managing outsourced accounting and tax advisors.

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective internal controls in a growing business environment.

• Strong analytical skills with experience in financial analysis, reconciliations, and variance reporting.

• Experience working in international companies or managing cross-border financial operations.

• Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience or strong understanding of R&D (Technopark) legislation and its financial/tax implications are desirable.

• NetSuite and ZIP Procure to Pay experience desirable.

• Fluency in Turkish and English, with ability to work effectively across different time zones and cultural contexts.
