About the job
Workers will plant various ornamental shrubs and landscape-type trees such as oak, holly, cypress, ligustrum, palms, and pine trees. Workers will make potting soil for plants, lay down fabric for potted plants, remove diseased plants, replant ornamental shrubs, and transplant plants. They will use Bush Hog to mow in between rows of plants/trees. Duties also include harvesting pine needles. Other duties include cleaning land, weeding, repairing fences, barn and buildings on the farm, as well as general farm labor. This will be done under extreme weather conditions such as heat, direct sunlight, possible rain, wind, and exposure to pollen. Repetitive physical conditions such as heavy bending, stooping and lifting will be involved on a regular basis.
