This large-scale Fill/Finish project is entering its construction and commissioning phase, with significant electrical infrastructure scope and integration across multiple facility areas.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that electrical systems are designed, installed, and commissioned in line with project requirements, safety standards, and GMP compliance. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical oversight, coordination with design and construction partners, and proactive engagement with vendors and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the client-side electrical representative through the detailed design, construction, installation, and commissioning stages.
  • Review and provide feedback on vendor documentation, including electrical drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams, and test procedures.
  • Support equipment and systems procurement, ensuring compliance with project standards and technical requirements.
  • Liaise with construction and engineering teams to oversee electrical installation and verify that all work meets design intent and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in factory acceptance tests (FATs), site acceptance tests (SATs), and commissioning activities as required.
  • Support energisation, testing, and qualification of electrical systems, ensuring safety and reliability of installations.
  • Oversee and coordinate electrical testing and inspection programs.
  • Contribute to schedule reviews, ensuring electrical milestones align with the broader construction and commissioning timelines.
  • Work closely with automation, controls, and validation teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance on medium voltage, low voltage, UPS, emergency power, and fire protection systems.
  • Interface with electrical contractors to ensure that installation practices align with applicable standards and project specifications.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in electrical engineering within pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale project delivery, from design through to installation and commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including medium voltage, low voltage, battery back-up, fire alarm, and emergency generator systems.
  • Hands-on experience reviewing design documentation, vendor specifications, and construction deliverables.
  • Familiarity with vendor and contractor management, factory testing, and commissioning processes.
  • Working knowledge of applicable electrical standards and codes (IS, IEC, BS EN, NFPA).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multi-disciplinary project teams.
