Overview
A wonderful family of four traveling to New York is seeking a part-time chef. The travel dates are still to be confirmed, but will be from mid-September through mid-December. The family will need reliable, experienced support during this transitional period. The working week is to be confirmed, but the family would ideally like the candidate to work three to four days each week to prepare food for the whole week. The family has two children, ages 2 and 6, so the chef should prepare meals that are appropriate for everyone to enjoy.Responsibilities
- Daily home-style cooking (comfort food, not gastronomy)
- Family-friendly meal preparation for various ages
- Fresh, wholesome approach to daily meals
- Knowledge of NYC's best markets and suppliers preferred
- Flexible with evolving dietary needs
- Maintaining a tidy and organized kitchen in conjunction with the family's housekeeper
Qualifications
- Calm, confident, and effective communicator
- Comfortable working around children and in a home environment
- Organized and able to manage time to accomplish necessary tasks
Requirements
- NYC familiarity is essential since the family isn't local
- Reliable, discrete, and professional approach
- Fluent English speaking
- US work authorization
Salary and Benefits
