Starting Salary $63,394 - $75,280/annually Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pmSummer Hours; Monday - Thursday, 7am-6pmWill be required to work evenings and/or weekends Grade 17 Work Calendar 12 Months Job Summary Collaborates with faculty and administration to provide leadership for continued innovation and strategic direction in the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of courses using learning management systems and other instructional technology for in-person, web enhanced, hybrid, and online delivery. Works with faculty liaisons and developers to manage programs, activities and operations in the college’s Center for Teaching and Learning. Additional work contacts include technical support staff, students, district-level instructional technology committees, and external organizations. Works with a diverse population of administrators, faculty, staff, students and the public. Essential Functions 50% - Acts as a resource and provides support for faculty in the use of instructional technology; offers training and workshops; develops support materials; facilitates selection, assessment, implementation, integration, and continuous improvement in the use of instructional technologies to improve student learning outcomes; researches and evaluates instructional technologies for potential application; maintains knowledge of emerging trends in instructional technology40% - Collaborates with faculty liaisons and developers to manage programs, activities, and operations in the Center for Teaching and Learning; supervises and evaluates support staff10% - Facilitates development and implementation of college strategic direction for web enhanced, hybrid, online learning, and other emerging instructional modalities; performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design or a related field from an accredited institution2. Two (2) or more years of experience in instructional technology3. User of current version of a learning management system (LMS) as instructor or course designer including familiarity with multimedia tools and editing for teaching and embedding in the LMS 4. Management experience including budget development and supervising and evaluating staff Desired Qualifications 1. Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design or a related field from an accredited institution2. Four (4) or more years of experience in technology support in higher education and/or college teaching experience (online and classroom)3. Experience with the development and delivery of technology training in a higher education environment4. Experience with the development and delivery of faculty professional development programs promoting innovative teaching methodologies and modalities Special Working Conditions Requires prolonged viewing of a computer monitor. May be required to work at multiple sites or locations. In and out-of-state travel is required.
