We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Data Engineer (m/w/d) , who desires to contribute to the growth and success of our Data & Analytics Team.
Your role in BizAway
- As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data architecture that best supports our business needs. This will include the implementation of scalable and cost-effective data pipelines and data flows for structured and unstructured data.
- You will be responsible for BizAway ETL process, and for the implementation of data models to support analytics, reporting and AI/ML initiatives.
- You will closely work with other departments, such as Product and Engineering, in ensuring data quality, reliability and availability.
- Together with other team members you will ensure that data governance, security, and compliance best practices are put in place together with comprensive documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
Your basic qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- Demonstrated experience in data modelling and implementation of data warehouses and data lakes (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, S3, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (Python, R, Java)
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS preferred)
- Previous experience working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field is preferred
- English proficiency (written and spoken level B2)

- Previous experience in the travel industry or similar sectors
- Previous experience with data modelling in Qlik Cloud or other BI platforms
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts
