A client within the Public Sector based in North Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Construction Supervisor to join their Property Services team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority or public sector property maintenance environment. The Role Key purpose of the role: To support the delivery of planned maintenance and minor works projects across a diverse estate of public and commercial properties throughout North Yorkshire. The Construction Supervisor will oversee multi-trade teams on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Supervising day-to-day construction and highways maintenance activities. • Managing site documentation, materials, and resource allocation. • Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. • Leading Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) meetings to support project planning. • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety legislation and site protocols. • Line managing operatives, supporting their professional development. • Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota when required. The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require: • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification. • CSCS Managers Card and valid First Aid at Work qualification. • CITB Managers and Professionals (MAP) Health & Safety Test. The below skills would be beneficial for the role: • Proven experience supervising multi-trade maintenance or construction teams. • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. • Flexibility to travel across North Yorkshire with a full UK driving licence. • Experience working within a local authority or similar public sector environment. • An Enhanced DBS (Children’s Barred List) check. The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering £25 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £20 per hour PAYE) .
