GENERAL PURPOSE
The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role in integrating, automating, and delivering institutional data to the community. The Analyst will focus on consolidating data from various internal systems, ensuring data integrity, and automating its delivery to support data-driven decision-making. The Analyst will utilize Power BI to develop comprehensive data solutions and visualizations, enabling stakeholders to access timely and accurate information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement automated systems for generating and distributing institutional data, ensuring key stakeholders have timely access to relevant data without manual intervention. Collaborate with various departments to identify reporting needs and automate routine reports.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide real-time insights and data to support decision-making for key stakeholders. Customize reporting solutions to meet the unique needs of various departments, ensuring data is presenting in a clear, actionable format that enhances strategic planning.
- Provide training and support for stakeholders in utilizing automated reports and dashboards, ensuring that users are equipped to navigate and interpret the data effectively. Offer assistance to maximize tool adoption and usage.
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and provide actionable insights to support strategic initiatives, accreditation reporting, and institutional effectiveness assessments.
- Identify opportunities for improving data work-flows, automation, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and user experience. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence.
- Support special projects and additional initiatives as assigned by Academic Affairs leadership.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Math, Computer Science, or related field).
- 3 to 5 years of work related experience
